Karina Nuñez-Rojas grew up in the bustling Washington Heights community of New York City. She graduated from Manhattan College in 2002 and, after working in social services, earned a master’s degree in social work at Columbia University. After five rewarding years working at a New York City charter school, Nuñez-Rojas decided to pursue an MBA at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business to transition to a brand-management role.
