In 2009, I began building my first company, Solid Ground Innovations (SGI), to encompass all areas of service that charitable organizations and individuals seeking to do incredible deeds of kindness would need. As demand increased, SGI expanded to expertise in branding, PR, and digital marketing, eventually landing a multimillion-dollar government contract. Within its first few years, at only 22 years old, I had bootstrapped SGI to a 7-figure company.

Still on a mission to ensure nonprofit growth and development, I went on to eventually transform SGI’s nonprofit service into a technology platform, birthing my second company, Resilia. Resilia is a tech start-up I launched in 2016 to revolutionize how socially-conscious leaders develop, maintain, and grow the nonprofits, corporations, cities, and other enterprises they lead. A New Orleans-based company, which has a second office in New York, was named to Venture Beat’s Top Startups to Watch Out For in 2019. As of 2020, I have raised over $11M for Resilia and am humbly known as the first Black founder in New Orleans to close a 7-figure round of funding.

Having (1) bootstrapped my first company to millions with no capital and (2) raised millions in venture capital for my second company, I now commit to taking my vast experience in building wealth and business to empower other business owners and entrepreneurs from all backgrounds.

Whether delivering a keynote, seminar, workshop or one-on-one consultation, I aim to ultimately inspire, uplift and progress audiences to get to where they know they should be! This is my personal resounding theme and focus. Over the years my work has been featured in national publications such as USA Today, Time Magazine and CNN, and I provide a voice for communities as a Forbes contributor and Medium blogger.

In 2019, I released my first book Solid Ground: How I Built a 7-Figure Company with Zero Capital, which spent six weeks at No. 1 on Amazon’s Startup category.
