Shannon Wilson started her legal career by serving as an Investigator with the State of Tennessee, where she investigated employment and housing discrimination claims with the Tennessee Human Rights Commission. She then transitioned her State practice to the United States Federal Government, where she served as an Attorney and Representation Specialist with the Office of the General Counsel for the Federal Labor Relations Authority. In that capacity, she investigated and prosecuted unfair labor practice charges, and conducted hearings and elections for federal employee collective bargaining units. She was dedicated to helping families and communities thrive through maintaining fair work environments.
After leaving the Federal sector, Shannon served as a Contract Attorney for several large law firms and legal placement agencies and served as Faculty/Legal Advisor for a Gallup certified training and coaching corporation. Yearning to get back to her passion of service, her career path took a twist — her focus shifted from building legacies and serving through fair work environments to creating legacies through Estate Planning. At that time, she became the lead Attorney for The Griffin Firm, PLLC's Atlanta office, and fully carried out their mission - empowering individuals and groups to create and protect wealth in order to leave legacies for their families and communities.
Shannon took that passion and commitment, propelled it forward, and is now the Principal/Founding Attorney of Legacy Legal, LLC. She is dedicated to and passionate about helping individuals, communities and mindsets thrive. Her Estate Planning practice is compassionate, empathetic and thorough. Shannon is honored every time she helps create an estate plan — building legacies one family at a time!
In addition to the practice of law, Shannon is a faculty member at several colleges and universities, is actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America, has coached the Junior Bible Quiz trivia team at her church, and is the number 1 cheerleader and supporter of her two teenage boys and their numerous activities.
Shannon has a J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law, a B.A. in Language and World Business & Spanish from the University of Tennessee and is licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia.
