When we set a goal like weight loss but don't share it with anyone else, the only person we let down when we don't achieve it is ourselves. And unfortunately, a lot of us are okay with that. It seems less severe when we break a commitment to ourselves than when we know someone else is watching. So in this episode, Eva discusses the importance of accountability when it comes to losing weight and keeping it off, as well as how to find the right support system.
KEY POINTS:
- Why you need to get clear on your goals FIRST
- Hold yourself accountable and track your data!
- What makes a successful accountability partner?
- How to add accountability to your weight loss journey
QUOTABLES:
“One of my clients, when we first started working together, was looking through her food tracker, and I asked her, ‘Is this normally how you eat?’ And she said, ‘Well, I know you're watching. So that actually forces me to be more mindful of the food choices that I'm making.’”
“I already see the future version of you. I see what's possible. So I'm here to believe in you until you're able to believe in yourself. So until then, you can borrow my belief until you get there.”

I have been trying to lose weight for about 3 years off and on. I have learned from this podcast that I am an emotionally eater and I never knew the impact of my mindset on my weight loss journey. I have learned so many tools from listening to Eva. I am confident that I will achieve my weight loss goals while becoming a better and healed person from the inside out🖤 Thank you Eva! Started listening to this podcast ahead of the holidays as I’m gearing up to prioritize weight loss in the New Year. I love the host’s approach to weight loss / wellness, she dives into the psychology and emotional triggers behind why we behave the way we do, taking a holistic approach to advice on how to lose weight/become healthier.Episode 14 covers self care. She breaks it down between 8 different areas in your life and how you can tie them back to weight loss/implementing healthy lifestyle changes. She recommends approaching goal setting through these 8 areas.Heading home from my walk and about to dive into my journal to start doing some goal setting. Feeling so motivated! Thank you for your awesome advice, 10/10 recommend.
Being “healthy” feels like a full time job and I don’t think I’ve ever really been healthy enough to feel its impact and benefits. This podcast and Eva’s coaching have been so helpful during a chaotic time in my life where “healthy” is an afterthought. As someone whose world revolves around work and my family, this process with Eva has helped me remember to take care of ME and figure out how to navigate being healthy, being kind to myself, and building a sustainable lifestyle over a trendy diet and workout regimen. Love the tone of this podcast because it’s finally making curves, self-esteem, and weight loss super relatable and down to earth. Thank you, Eva!!
