This is my attempt to debunk how we glorify "being yourself" as the answer to all of our problems. I absolutely know it to be true that developing "self-love" comes from learning how to love and be yourself.
However, I have too many times heard "thats just who I am" used as an excuse for not being able to achieve something, avoiding the authentic truth, or taking responsibility for their actions. I want to make sure as we work on self-discovery we understand that who we are may have to evolve sometimes to become who we want to be.
Jessica is an excellent host and I highly recommend anyone who finds themselves stuck in life to listen to The Stranded Phase podcast!
Jessica is awesome and I love all the knowledge, kindness, love, and grace she brings. I love her guests and their hearts to help others. I’m so inspired by her and grateful for this podcast and for her help in getting mine started. She’s absolutely amazing!
I LOVE listening to every episode and getting emails from jessica. Her messages are always real, heartfelt and inspiring. After every episode I feel like I’m ready to go out there and get it !!!
Absolutely loved this episode! My takeaway from this episode basically confirms what I already knew to be true. We only have one person to blame for where we are- ourselves! Changing your life requires you to take personal accountability. Period. I appreciate you giving it to us straight, Jessica!
